And I’m allllll over it.

I Love Macro Lenses

I really do adore macro lenses. I remember when the family got Games magazine back in the ’80′s and there was always a page of extreme close up pictures of common objects and it was a challenge to try and guess what they were. My macro shots haven’t gotten that close yet, but I still love the effect a shallow depth of field has.

I’ve got a couple of projects going right now, stuff on the back burner which can simmer for a bit. I’m looking for some photo projects to do this spring going into summer… and I would absolutely love to find someone willing to play guinea pig while I practice portraiture. (i.e., willing model(s) who don’t mind when I screw up and get their nose completely out of focus). Still working out places that would make good backgrounds – would probably depend on the person and their interests, really.

Of course, between wanting to do more food photography (what exactly does one do with entire place settings and meals after taking pictures of them??), wanting to finally learn portraiture, rebuilding multiple websites… when am I going to remember to sleep?!
